humphrey · Most trainers know the clearing time of the pharmaceuticals they use in between races. The established clearing times are an AVERAGE of the colleted physiological changes horses go through in oxidizing the medications. HINT: ALL horses are not the same in this regard just like the same variation occurs in clearance in humans. If, for example, two drugs compete for the same oxidative biochemistry, the the clearance of both medications will be slowed. Pharmacokinetics is something few on the backstretch would consider in a veterinarian approved treatment regimen. · 1106 days ago ·
