Worked a strong 6f in 1:12 4/5 as he prepares for the Los Al Futurity. Very excited to see him roll this field going 2 turns
I do like Frank Conversation, Blackjackcat and Free Rose. I'll add Camelot Kitten to the mix in the exotics.
Cathryn Sophia will he bred to Pioneerof the Nile for a 2018 foal.
Of the six horses with stud fees of 150,000 or higher, 3 of them were Wood starters. Of the 11 horses with fees of 85,000 or higher 4 of them are Wood starters. The only other major preps with stallions in this price range are the Arkansas with 2 and the Santa Anita Derby with 1.
12/1 - 4F work http://www.xbtv.com/video/workout/arrogate-worked-4-furlongs-in-49-00-at-santa-anita-park-on-december-1st-2016/
Next years Triple Crown Winner, it's very likely, especially now that ultra talented "Not This Time" has been retired (I was really gutted about that news by the way). I can definitely see him winning the KD and the Preakness, but I think 'Lookin At Lee' could spoil the party in the Belmont, the further he goes, the better he looks, 'Lookin At Lee' will like 10 furlongs, but he will LOVE 12 furlongs, you wait and see. :-)
I've just watched the BC Turf Sprint again for about the 500th time............ ahhhhhhhhhh it's just WONDERFUL. Well done 'Obviously', very well deserved win. :-)
He's still the best, he travelled like a DREAM in the Classic, he cantered all over his rivals and had 'Arrogate' in BIG TROUBLE, just a shame that 'Arrogate' found a 2nd wind in the last 30 yards or so to grab a 'last grasp' victory!! If and when they meet again, California Chrome will get his revenge, 100%. :-)
Revved Up will take it.
Frank Conversation, Diplodocus, and Blackjack Cat exacta and trifecta box. So 3-4-7 box.
Are his connections coming to the Derby?
I'm gonna miss you, buddy, but I know it's for the best. You're a G1 winner in my book.
Im saddened and enraged to report that the Wood Memorial has been downgraded to G2 along with the Blue Grass Stakes. This is an outrage, there were far better choices for demotion!
Officially retired to Rockridge Stud for $5,000
