Trainer Todd Pletcher tells DRF'S Mike Welsch that the undefeated Khozan is off the Derby trail after coming back from a routine gallop at Palm Beach Downs on Friday off in his right hind ankle. "We've sent him to Rood and Riddle, I'm waiting for Dr. Bramlage's(Larry) opinion on Monday," said Pletcher.  According to DRF
I wish he wasn't owned by Jim Rome... Then I could actually root for him. I like the horse, but Jim Rome is a jerk.

  • slewcrew7778 · That's too bad... Some missed out on Slew and Bid as well for the same reason. They make it about people and not about the horses. · 7 hours ago
  • lotus118 · Good news, Rome only owns a small share of Shared Belief. The major share owner is never mentioned because he's not famous. Go ahead and root for the Boy. · 20 minutes ago
HRTV staff were notified earlier on Friday that this will be the network's last day of programming with on-air hosts. No worr yet on what will happen to staff and crew. According to DRF'S Steve Andersen.
  • Jbyrnes1 · Also from Steve Andersen, Some HRTV personnel are expected to join the TVG network in coming weeks, according to source. TVG acquired HRTV on Feb. 18. · 31 minutes ago
They also have another full sister, and Love the Chase is prego to Lucky Pulpit as we speak, there hoping for another colt.
Ive been waiting for her name to show up on here. This has been known for over a month now. She even has her own facebook page you can check for updates. I provided the link long time ago on Chromes page. She was named after a little girl (fan) that the Coburn's met at the Preakness last year named Hope.
This horse actually deserves the hype that Khozan is getting. He ran a little wide, was up with a good pace, visually showed some explosive kick at the top of the stretch and finishes strong. Good time as well. I think his race today is more impressive than anything Khozan has run, my pick to won the Florida Derby if Upstart does not race in it.
Bill Mott tells DRF's Mike Welsch that there is nothing wrong with Dubai Sky, who has not been entered in the redrawn Palm Beach. Mott says he didn't enter him cause of the timed schedule he is on. Mott says that Dubai Sky, full brother to G1 winner Twirling Candy, will be rerouted and make his next start in the G3 Sprial Stakes at Turfway Park. Article on DRF
Full sister to California Chrome has been named Hope's Love.

  • Northport · Sir Fever is head and shoulders above this crowd, but I could see Mubtaahij springing a bit of an upset · 1 hour ago
  • Mary Z. · It could be that the race calls from S. America are so exciting, but I really hope Sir Fever is as amazing in Dubai as he has been in Uruguay. · 1 hour ago
From the Racing Post.com web-site: Toast of New York, who was one of the favorites for the upcoming G1 Dubai World Cup, will miss the world's richest race due to a soft tissue injury.

  • Northport · That really deflates a lot of the World Cup excitement, ugh. · 5 hours ago
  • Lisabn via Disqus · Too bad, I really thought he had a very good chance at winning and this horse never got the credit he deserved, I mean it was only a NOSE what seperated him from winning the BCC. That's nothing. And he finished ahead of Chrome AND Belief in his first start on dirt. · 1 hour ago

Good question. Far Right might have run in the Rebel if the Southwest wasn't backed up a week. You would think people would want to get Derby points and ship to Arkansas. Let's see if this race fills out by next week. Baffert was looking for a soft spot for American Pharoahs' debut and it looks like he got it in the Rebel. Even Lucas is entering the top Take Charge Brandi.
Ran 2nd in the (Black Type) Black Gold Stakes at 7 1/2 furlongs on the turf. Looks like he's off the Derby Trail.
Snoop , he is running today against almost forgotten Materiality. How Boots says it,based on A.M. preps, Elway,Luck and Lopez twins Alma Mater has a major leg up on this one.
