What happened?? Peter Euton Racing reporting that D w/Fate did not survive his injuries?!

  • Mary Z. · I understand the shock that Dance With Fate is gone. He was all set to try the Del Mar main track this weekend. The colt that I am sure I annoyingly mentioned to look out for not only for his racing efforts but for his beauty. Sad loss. Didn't get to see him run enough. · 3 hours ago
  • Sullivan · Anyone idiotic enough to think that Arabians of all creatures are in any way sounder than Thoroughbreds when their size as a pure breed is both smaller and more genetically flawed ought not be allowed to wreak havoc on this site. · 21 minutes ago

Mary tune in to Rce #4 today. Your guy Hollie has a special one in Taras Tango. The scary part is that in the 2nd Division, Bullet Bob just may be sitting on a better one in Luminance. Either way, write down these names, you will be seeing a big time rivalry down the line. They are working out in the mornings as though they are more than the real deal.

  • tmallios · As great as the Hollendorfer filly was today. This one was scary to say the least. Not only did she break the short lived track record. She did it by losing arguably 3 to 4 lengths with the slow start and wide trip. Doubt to many colts might be as good as this one. Rarely do 2 horses run to their press clippings. Like i said, tune in to the filly stake at the end of the meet. This will be a good one. · 3 days ago

Just saw the entries for the Haskell. This guy is looking amazing in this spot. To begin with, there are only 2 legitimate speed horses in the race. S.I. and Bayern. Assuming the reports from S.I.s' camp are accurate and he has settled down and acting a bit more proffessional. He will be sitting a dream trip tracking expected pace setter Bayern, who drew inside. At the worst, this could be a Bayern/S.i exacta either way. The filly will have to make a premature move in this race. On speed figures she is easily fast enough to win this race. But i believe for the first time this year. When Rosie asks her for run on the turn, she will be running at race horses who have gas in the tank. Social Inclusion looks to be perfectly placed.

  • Ruffianlover · I disagree, Untapable was on the outside in the Oaks and did just fine. She can win up front or rating off the pace. My heart says her to win it but my head says Medal Count. Medal is a nice horse- plus I like Romans. · 1 hour ago
  • Sullivan · I also have him in this race with Albano. · 25 minutes ago
Hmm......no Teddy Drone?!
  • UnionRagsRules · My thoughts exactly. Maybe they are targeting something bigger? I know nominations went in awhile ago, (Friday the 18th) and that was before his stellar workout. Maybe they are thinking bigger and better? I thought this was a great spot for him to return. · 27 minutes ago
Apprentice jockey Colin Sullivan won his first race aboard Mon Petite at Race #2 in Del Mar. Congrats Sullivan. :)
Stylish in Black rallied from off the pace with an impressive win in her second lifetime start to take Wednesday’s second race. Covering extra ground, she ran 28 feet more than second-placer Three Blondes, a distance that equates to roughly 3 ¼ lengths. With Elvis Trujillo aboard, Stylish in Black ran the final quarter in 23.00 seconds, 1.09 seconds than the next-fastest in the race (4th placer Cee’s Tizzy Belle) and 1.44 seconds faster than Three Blondes.
Coolmore's much hyped and highly touted 2yo colt, John F Kennedy, who had already been made ante-post favorite with some firms for next year's G1 Epsom Derby, could only manage a 2nd place finish on his racecourse debut today in a Leopardstown maiden. Prior to today, there had much talk swirling about how good this son of Galileo out of the Danehill mare Rumplestiltskin could actually become next year during his classic season.

With no lone ticket selecting all winners of Sunday’s Jersey Shore Six, the carryover sits at $39,189.74 for this Friday’s racing card. The Jersey Shore Six is a 10-cent base wager. To win the jackpot, a ticket must have the winner of the six races comprising the wager and be the only one to have done so. If more than one person has a winning ticket, they split 60% of the net pool with 40% going to the carryover.

Daring Kathy has the Lake George put away
Another one gone. We've already lost too many 3yos. Electric Eddie, Bond Holder, Intense Holiday, and now Dance With Fate.
So much potential and beauty gone. My heart goes out to all the connections a nd everyone who loved this incredible thoroughbred.
I loved this colt so much since the day he made his debut. RIP!
soooo sad

Just watched a very interesting and informative interview with John Gosden about Saturdays King George uploaded on YouTube by AtTheRaces.com. King Edward VII Stakes winner Eagle Top has been supplemented, but Gosden said he'll walk the track at Ascot tomorrow before he decides for sure if he'll run. He said he didn't really want Eagle Top running back to back races on fast ground because he's really bred more for good to soft ground. Gosden had some comments about nearly every horse in the field. He thinks Magician's chances are being very overlooked in the King George, sighting he'll be running over the trip he's bred for on fast ground where he's been at his best. Gosden said he was impressed by the way Magician kept finding more in the final 100 meters in his 2nd place finish behind The Fugue in the G1 Prince of Wales's Stakes. Information coming from John Gosden definitely has to be respected. He also said he had always intended to run Epsom Derby 3rd Romsdal in the King George and then send him on to the English St Leger in September if all goes well.
  • jonquil · I nearly replied some days ago to a comment you made with something, but didn't because I expect no one will agree with me. I know Taghrooda will get a nice weight allowance in this race, but even with that she'll be up against Magician, Trading Leather, Telescope and Mukhadram nevermind Flintshire and Romsdal. She's clearly a very talented filly, but is she really going to be able to cope against this field and win? She's had only 3 races against the same gender and age - this is quite different. I personally would've rather seen her worked into this type of field a bit more slowly. · 6 hours ago
