Did I hear they are supplementing him to the BCC correctly? Yikes I hope not- the poor horse may finish dead last- the Santa Anita track does not play kindly to closers or plodders/grinders. Just ask Tonalist and Hoppertunity
1st- Ironicus 2nd- Tourist 3rd- Photo Call 4th- Ring Weekend 5th- Karar 6th- Mondialiste 7th- Tepin
Just one word.............................. "WOW".
I remember the first time I seen her race, I was just messing around playing Australia the one night and had no idea who she was, she blew me away( I believe it was the Queensland oaks) and hasn't lost since. It doesn't matter the distance, doesn't matter the conditions, just a superior animal. I can only dream we get to see her at Royal Ascot next season. I don't know if racing could get any better than a Tepin/Winx/Solow battle.
Like I said before Arrogate looks like a nice horse but he's not California Chrome. Here are the splits in each of their last races. CC's splits in the Awesome Again: (1/4) 22.76 (1/2) 46.08 (3/4) 1:09.48 (Mile) 1:34.45 Arrogate's splits in the Travers: (1/4) 23.23 (1/2) 46.84 (3/4) 1:10.85 (Mile) 1:35.52 California chrome has much faster splits and even after Victor Espinosa began holding him back after 6 furlongs California Chrome still ran a mile split one full second faster than Arrogates's mile split. Bob Baffert knows arrogate can't run with the best horse in the world.
Dual G3-winner Goken has been retired and will stand at Haras de la Huderie alongside Sandwaki for 2017. His fee is set at €5,000.
The Last Lion has been retired and will stand at Kildangan Stud. I guess he'll be standing there for 2017? No fee has been announced.
The dual G1-winning Speedy Boarding is planned to visit Dubawi for 2017.
Pioneerof the Nile will stand for $110,000 for the 2017 Breeding season.
Preakness winner Exaggerator will stand for $30,000 in first season at stud at WinStar Farm.
I don't like this race. I don't get it, I think it's incredibly unnecessary, and there is no reason for there to be a HUGE money race in between the Classic and DWC. Horses can't possibly hope to compete in all three, or at least they shouldn't, because it doesn't give them a break from their previous year's campaign and or their upcoming year's campaign. Please somebody let me know if I'm missing an angle on this, because I just don't understand why this race needs to exist. Plus, I liked the Donn. :/

  • hoof_hearted2016 · It's a stupid 'novelty' act, just a bunch of silly Yanks who got together and decided "Hey let's do the World Richest Horse Race right here in the States", just a lame attempt to 'out-do' the Arabs in Dubai, but it won't work because next years Dubai World Cup will probably be a $15 Million race! This Pegasus thing will be a 'one off' I'm sure, it will go back to being the Donn Handicap in 2018. · 2 days ago
  • Ruffianlover · Dubai is halfway across the world and almost no American horses go. This was a great idea and I can't wait to see the first edition · 2 hours ago
They should at least make it 1 1/4 . Like why 1 1/8 that putting American distance races to shame
Rivet, who won the G2 Champagne Stakes at Doncaster over St Leger weekend pulls the upset in defeating heavy favorite, the Aidan O'Brien trained Yucatan to win the G1 Racing Post Trophy.
  • jonquil · If not for his bad showing at the Dewhurst, Rivet would be the favorite instead of Yucatan. I was pretty glad that happened, actually, because I was convinced Rivet at his best could take this, especially when paired with Atzeni. · 2 hours ago
Won the G1 Racing Post Trophy, giving Andrea Atzeni his 4th win in this race!
stop dreaming folks , it's Three Rules in a gallop
The Queen of racing right now. She's matured into a really fantastic mare. Just seems that each time she beats Beholder her fans finds some excuse instead of giving this wonderful mare full credit.
Stellar Wind's half-mile work goes onto the tab at :48 2/5. First quarter in :24 1/5, three furlongs in :36 2/5, gallop out in 1:02 2/5. After the work, trainer John Sadler announces that the main reason Stellar Wind was put in the November Sale was because of "flight insurance", he also went on the record and said that the plan as of now is to still race her at age 5.
As much as I love and respect songbird- stellar wind deserves to be the favorite for the distaff. Stellar wind has put away beholder twice now- which doesn't mean that beholder has lost a step- it just means stellar wind is as good as I thought she was. A lot of people are handing the distaff to songbird but stellar wind is one nice horse. She cannot be overlooked- she ran second in last years edition after a horribly wide trip and questionable contact in the stretch, she has run two great races to beat beholder in very fast times and also proving she has heart and will to win. I think she will be close to the pace to not let songbird get away now that she has proven she isn't a one dimensional deep closer. As much as I love chrome- I am most looking forward to the distaff race out of all in this years breeders cup
Connect should go to Turf Paradise and have some fun if he not get lite headed from dropping in altitude
