CE is a fighter. I hope he wins in Belmont, it will be well deserved!
I don't see this horse winning in Belmont, he was outrun by Thunder Snow in UAE who was 20th in KD.
So which running style benefits the most in the Belmont stakes?, is it better for closers or stalkers..I'm sure the pace is going to be slower with mile and half distance so horses will have conserve energy for the last push. I would think it benefits closers as they have more distance to make their move
OK- interesting addition to the Belmont- a monster of a race at 1and 1/4 miles. Epicharis, a Japanese import has a very impressive record: 4 wins, 1 second. Thing is, in Europe and Asia the crowd is a bit more sedate. In the USA, we shout it loud! As could be witnessed by the breakdown of Thunder Snow (Irish bred bought by the UAE)- this United Arab Emirates horse lost it right out of the gate in the Kentucky Derby. Can foreign horses stand up to our tough G1 mounts? That's the question regarding Epicharis! Thoughts?
Terrakova is now 2 for 2 after winning the G3 Prix Cleopatre. This girl is good. She reminds me of Goldikova.
Firstborn Switch In Time came in third today, 5/23, at Gowran Park, R1. She was right up there; #16 in a 16 horse field. Beaten almost three lengths from the winner. Note re silks: black vest, white sleeves, red cap. See the replay: attheraces.com
Taking my 4 and 5 yr old this year. Staying in Midtown. Best way to get to Belmont via Long Island Rail Road?

Anybody see a beyer on the last race?
Probably last son of Lucky Pulpit with his AMAZING COAT out of mare Passionforfashion https://www.instagram.com/p/BUcVnpVlgN8/?taken-by=barbarolover132
Oh jeez Gary where to start. First he's not green the Belmont will be his six's start in 3 different countries. Next u mentioned the time of the UAE derby maydan is a much slower track then pimlico . 3rd none of these horses have gone 1 1/2 miles so it's an unknown for all of them. And 4th level of competition since it's obvious that our crop of 3 year olds are garbage this year it's a wash.
BREAKING: Coolmore America has acquired the breeding rights to two year old champion Classic Empire. He will stand at Ashford Stud upon the completion of his racing career.
been following since day one went to timonium simulcast and made a big wager by my standards [100 dollars in tickets] cashed well but was cheated by a mutual clerk of 2 of my tickets one was a 2 dollar daily double ticket with ricards boy worth 115 dollars and one was a 1 dollar exacta ticket worth 120 dollars hope karma gets her
>Look for THIS horse to win in the closing stages of the Belmont Stakes......As long as the track is dry.
Taking a similar path that Gun Runner did by going in the Matt Winn G3...Can't wait for him to bounce back. He is too good of a horse not too.
Really hoping to see Patch on this list soon.
Thunder Snow is going to be overlooked on Saturday especially with Churchill in the field...Should run well and should be a fair price too.
GO Tapwrit!!
Fort Larned's half sister
Acapulco has entries on Saturday in both the G2 Temple Stakes over 5f at Haydock Park in Great Britain and in the G2 Greenlands Stakes over 6f at the Curragh in Ireland, so I think it's likely we'll see her show up in a G2 sprint somewhere on Saturday. Stablemate Washington DC is also cross-entered in both races, but I can't imagine Aidan O'Brien feeling the need to run both horses in the same sprint, so I look for the two to be split up, with one running at Haydock and the other at the Curragh. I'm just not certain which horse will run where?
