oic..thanks humphrey
As a serious student of the game, IT HAS ALL HAPPENED BEFORE!
Humphrey - very true. Funny how history repeats itself!
Charles Howard kep egging the connections of War Admiral to meet his charge is a race which culminated in the Pimlico Special.....Connections of the West Coast mare are repeating some of the same maneuvers.
Could someone kindly tell me, in a few words, what the Howard/Seabiscuit situation is :)
26 years old it is not surprising
Dang, I just read that Personal Ensign has died.
Also Pepper's Pride won 19 in a row in minor stakes races in New Mexico
The modern record for consecutive wins is held by a Hong Kong miler Silent Witness
Quote from Jerry Moss on Zenyatta 2010 "We'd definitely like to be at Belmont at some point, and we'd like to be at Churchill Downs for a prep race leading into the Breeders' Cup if possible," owner Jerry Moss remarked Thursday morning. "Those two tracks for sure would be on our radar if the right race came up and she was ready to go." Sounds good, I'm glad us East coasters will get to see her. And maybe hush up some of her critics.
how short of a price do u guys think she will be at post time
Methinks we have a Charles Howard/Seabiscuit situation evolving here.
Jerry Moss just stated that Z will be traveling quite a bit this year and that as usual their focus is on the BC as it has been the last two years and will be showing up at Churchill.
If she is going to break Cigar's record, I hope this great horse gets more challenging fields than this, Everyone wants "the match-up". I hope we don't have to wait till Nov. at CD
Then there's me who just wanted to go on 4/3 and see her win #16 :(
Talk about a 180 on the excitement for this race... should still be fun.
