It’s official, Zenyatta has joined the ranks of the all time greats with one of the most incredible feats in thoroughbred racing history: 16 wins in 16 lifetime starts, a perfect career. Callie... that's not a bad prediction. Zenyatta just has another gear that makes her relatively unstoppable.
QUEEN ZENYATTA will go down in history as one the greatest horse of all time. I personal see her racing about 4 more time this year . She race at Churchill twice this 1 Belmont another at Hollywood. The get justly duly with Horse of the year crown
grimey, she's going to be taking on older colt's in either the Stephen Foster in June, or the Hollywood Gold Cup in July. But apparently, you can't understand or grasp the big picture concept here. This mare is 16 for 16 lifetime for a reason. That's not easily done, even if you're racing donkeys. When you're now mentioned in the same breath with Citation and Cigar, you're special. So don't go getting your hope's up that those colt's that she'll be racing will fair much better than those "same old fillies" that you're talking about her going back to California and racing.

grimey,
grimey,
like i said RA may not be the same after that 09 season..so zen will go back to poly crap and race against the same type horses she beat in the apple..lets see if she races on dirt against grade 1 males this year..
I really don't think she was ever out of an exercise canter the whole race. She skipped across the dirt at Oaklawn like she's been racing over it her whole career. Anyone that tag's this mare a "synthetic only specialist" is making a huge mistake. IMO. She's just a mare that happens to have raced on synthetics a lot more in her career than conventional dirt. But, if anything, she seem's to glide across the dirt even easier than the synthetic track's in California. She certainly found herself on the lead much quicker in this race than any I've seen her run before. If Rachel Alexandra had been at Oaklawn yesterday, the fractions, I'm quite sure, would've been quicker, but the outcome of the race wouldn't have changed one iota. IMO. Zenyatta was never out of first gear in the whole race. So if Smith would've had to ask her against Rachel, there would've been far more there than Rachel Alexandra would've wanted to deal with. My guess is that after Calvin Borel reports to Jess Jackson what he witnessed first hand on the track, Rachel won't go looking to race Zenyatta any time soon, if ever? But, and pardon the pun, to "BE FAIR", who could blame her? LOL.
RA may even be the same...09 took alot out of her...
And she stays fresh for when Rachel gets fit and ready to take her on! :)
Kind of forgot in all the drama that Zenyatta was going for win number 16 to tie the two big boys, Citation and Cigar. As if she hasn't already given us some of the best racing thrills of the decade, now she's about to attempt immortality with win #17. Rachel, where are you?
