As arguably the most popular horse of the 21st century, nearly everything Zenyatta does becomes news. Her many fans got a thrill when Team Zenyatta proudly announced that Zenyatta’s second foal, a colt by Tapit, now has a name...

Inspired by the iconic Zenyatta herself, owner Jerry Moss has chosen the name Ziconic for the yearling chestnut.

As explained by the Zenyatta.com website: Ziconic = Iconic with a Z! (zi'känik)

A winner of 17 stakes, including 13 Grade 1's in her fantastic career, the 2010 Horse of the Year, and two-time Breeders' Cup winner, produced her first foal in 2012, a dark bay colt by Bernardini, named Cozmic One.

The next big news from Team Zenyatta should be the story of delivery of her third foal, from a mating with War Front, due soon.
