Zenovit Wins Washington Oaks

Zenovit put it all together Saturday and scored a 2 ¼- length victory over huge long shot Private Fortune the $75,000 Washington Oaks at Emerald Downs.

In capturing the track's championship event for 3-year-old fillies, Zenovit ran one and one-eighth miles in 1:49 2/5 on a fast track—the fastest winning time in the Oaks since 2004—and paid $17.60, $7.40 and $6.20. Larry Ross is the trainer for owners Dana Claxton and Gail and Gerald Schneider of Auburn, Wash.
