Trainer Charles Lopresti plans to work Shadwell Turf Mile (G1) winner Wise Dan on the main track Saturday morning.
“I am not sure what time yet, but ideally I would like it to be in
the first set around 6 o’clock,” Lopresti said. “I would like to be able
to watch him, but if it is foggy when I get here, we’ll wait until
first light (around 7:30). His regular exercise rider, Damien Rock, will
be up.”
Owned by breeder Morton Fink, Wise Dan looms as the top American hope
for the $2 million Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1) to be run November 3 at
Santa Anita.
Also scheduled to work Saturday for Breeders’ Cup engagements are Magic City Thoroughbred Partners’ Golden Ticket (Classic-G1) and Shortleaf Stable’s Atigun (Marathon-G2) for trainer Ken McPeek.
