What is Your Favorite Race???

I'm a fan
My Favorite

I don't know about you, but when I think of Memorial Day Weekend, I think of all the brave men and women that have given their lives serving America. The Met Mile at Belmont Park also quickly comes to mind.
Another famous race during the holiday weekend happens to be the Indianapolis 500. The biggest of all Indy style car races was held today at the Brickyard. I did not watch it (too busy handicapping tomorrow's races,) but I know many people did. To mark the occasion, sports goliath, ESPN, put up a rather interesting little poll on their home page. The poll is asking what is your favorite race? It only includes three possible answers: The Daytona 500, the Indinapolis 500 or the Kentucky Derby. Knowing my readers like I do, I'm quite certain you all know the correct answer.
Apparently, we are not the only ones. So far with nearly 95,000 votes counted, the Kentucky Derby is leading the poll with 42% of the vote. Despite the biased timing of the poll, on Indianapolis 500 Day, and despite the poll landing on the website of ESPN, the same organization that systematically reduced their coverage of horse racing to nothing, our sport's most famous race is going to win this poll.
Friends of horse racing, join me today in showing ESPN that they made a mistake by eliminating horse racing from their programming. Join me in demonstrating our sincere passion for the sport that we love. Join me in proving that horse racing is not on death's door. Join me in turning this poll into a runaway in favor of the Kentucky Derby!

What the Nation is saying about What is Your Favorite Race???...

The poll has already changed on the home page, and I could not find it on the site ... Does anyone know where to find the results???
What is the Daytona or the Indianapolis 500??? If it doesn't involve horses, it doesn't exist!
Obviously, the Dubai World Cup is my favorite race. But beyond those, two races I look forward to each year are the King's Stand and Golden Jubilee, the sprints at the Royal Ascot meeting. Such great drama in those races.
Yay! The Derby is leading so far :).
The Derby, Daytona or Indy? Is that really a question? Racing fans, get on there and vote!!!
ESPN has missed huge ratings (if thats all their after) the last couple of yrs by not showing any of Zenyatta's races. Especially the Breeder's Cup! Quality Road's Met Mile, Goldikova, I could go on & on. And this yr's Preakness was pretty exciting, too. I think they just dont want it on their concious by being the ones to air a race where a horse happens to break down; but in thinking that way, they miss out on historical moments and heart-warming stories.
