Weemissfrankie, the most accomplished 2-year-old filly in
California, will probably run in the $250,000 Hollywood Starlet on December 10,
trainer Peter Eurton reported Sunday.
“It’s looking pretty solid,” said Eurton, pleased with a
four-furlong work in 47.60 seconds here Saturday. “It seemed like a gallop. She
will work again next Saturday.”
Rafael Bejarano has the call back on Weemissfrankie in the
Grade I Starlet at 1 1/16 miles on Cushion Track. The New York-bred daughter of
Sunriver finished third in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies in her most
recent start. She earlier won the Del Mar Debutante and Oak Leaf Stakes, both
Grade I races.
