Sunday’s Del Mar Recap  – August 18 (Day 25)

Polytrack surface yielded two sprint wire job winners (6.5f, 5.5f). Stalkers and closers nabbed all four turf route races carded (turf rail at 7 feet).

Victor Espinoza and Garrett Gomez both booted home a pair. Peter Miller saddled two winners and Gomez rode both. Jerry Hollendorfer saddled two winners on the card.

Using DRF’s Ticketmaker strategy on Sunday, I tabbed three “A” winners (Halo Dolly, Tamarando, Red Vine), and one “B” winner (Kid Dreams). I needed Belle of the Fleet in the 7th race for a winning conso but her closing bid fell a neck short.
