Wednesday’s Del Mar Pick 6 & Late Pick 4 Tickets – August 27

Del Mar Weekly Recap (Aug 20-24)

Day 25 (Aug 20): Stalkers and closers nabbed all six Polytrack races. A closer and a stalker captured both flat mile turf races (rail at 30 feet). Using the Primary-Secondary strategy on Wednesday, I tabbed four Primary winners (Faith Proof, Lucky J Lane, Alexis Tangier, Madame Forbes) and two Secondary winners (Grazenette, Texas Red). The winning 5 out of 6 consolation prize returned $37.40 and I tabbed it three times. I also tabbed a .50 cent copy of the Late Pick 4 ($126.95).

Day 26 (Aug 21): Two sprint wire jobs (6.5f, 6f) on a Polytrack surface that seemed to play fair overall. The lone turf race (11f) was captured by a late runner (rail at 30 feet). Saul Arias and Agapito Delgadillo both booted home a pair. Peter Eurton saddled back-to-back Polytrack sprint winners (races 5-6).

Day 27 (Aug 22): Polytrack played fair. Lone turf race (11f stakes) was nabbed by a late runner (rail at 12 feet). Drayden Van Dyke booted home a pair. Elvis Trujillo and Doug O’Neill teamed up to win the early double. Julio Canani saddled two winners on the card.

Day 28 (Aug 23): Four sprint wire jobs on Polytrack (5.5f, 6f, 7f, 5.5f). Patient types captured all three turf races (9f, 8.5f, 11f – turf rail at 12 feet). Victor Espinoza booted home a pair.

Day 29 (Aug 24): Polytrack seemed to play fair (2 sprint wire jobs – 6f, 7f). Patient runners nabbed all three turf races (8.5f, 8f, 8f – turf rail at 12 feet). Four wins for Mike Smith including the Pacific Classic aboard Shared Belief. Tyler Baze and Elvis Trujillo both booted home a pair. Jerry Hollendorfer saddled three winners and Trujillo rode two. James Cassidy saddled two winners and Mike Smith rode both. Bob Hess Jr. saddled two winners.
