I had a dream last night that I cold decked the superfecta... I can still hear
and see the dream I had in my head... it woke me up at 3:30. (only an hour before my alarm) Union Rags "roared down the center of the stretch" to take the lead at the 1/8th pole. He won by 2 over Hansen, I'll Have Another in third and
Creative Cause in 4th... unofficial winning time was 2:01:40. Is it me or do I have Derby on my mind 24/7? That being said, it was INSANE on the backside this morning. The nicer the weather, the more traffic strolls in. I LOVE IT! These are the kind of crowds I love to see at the races. The publicity, the media attention, the celebrities - this is what will help the horse industry. This morning several horses, once again, made appearances after the renovation break. We caught up with some first time horses that we haven't covered yet, such as Alpha and Done Talking. We also saw Bodemeister, Went the Day Well (a great sleeper pick), Trinniberg, Prospective, Dullahan, and I'll Have Another. We'll catch up with all of these horses plus get an interview with Mike Smith about Bodemeister. Here's what happened this morning on the backside:
Gemologist, El Padrino, Grace Hall, and Take Charge Indy just arrived on the grounds. I'll try and catch up with them in a few minutes when I head back over there. The weather right now is kind of questionable in the area. This morning we saw the first turf works of the season as 25 horses headed out onto the turf course. As long as this weather breezes by us this afternoon, we should have a perfect setup for this weekend. Need help for who you should bet and who you should bet against? Don't trust me? (Me either) Check out the offical Kentucky Derby Screener This report gives you all the information you will need to sucessfully bet the Kentucky Derby. We'll check back in tomorrow with another full report.
