Victoire Pisa to miss Arc with leg injury

Nothing has gone to plan after Victoire Pisa landed the 2011 Dubai World Cup.  Pointed to the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (G1) after missing the Audemars Piguet Queen Elizabeth II Cup (G1) at Sha Tin in April, it was announced today that he will miss the French engagement after emerging from a work with [...] Read More

What the Nation is saying about Victoire Pisa to miss Arc with leg injury...

I think it's a shame that Victoire Pisa is going to have to miss this year's Arc with a leg injury. He looks a very different horse now than the one that was a 4 length beaten 4th behind Behkabad in the G2 Prix Niel and a 6-1/2 length beaten 7th behind Workforce in the G1 Arc De Triomphe at Longchamp last season. Victoire Pisa really began to come into his own after he returned from France to Japan. A very respectable 3rd behind a much the best, d.q.'d Buena Vista and Rose Kingdom in the G1 Japan Cup. Then Victoire Pisa actually beat Buena Vista fair and square in the G1 Arima Kinen. Then he won the G1 Nakayama Kinen as his prep for Meydan, and his G1 Dubai World Cup win. I really believe that Victoire Pisa could've been as relevant to this year's Arc as Nakayama Festa was to last year's Arc. TJMO.
