all tracks favor speed, at least the real dirt ones, when it rains. Horses, for the most part, don't care for mud kicked in their face so the clean silk syndrome occurs often through the day in the slop.
Nice job Jarrod & Molly Jo. This is a tough race because of the way FG is playing (Speed bias) and fact it will be OFF. I typically love Closers (Proud Strike & Normandy Invasion), but it ain't happening here. Since there is plenty of early speed, it's a crap shoot as to who gets a clean break and first run into the clubhouse turn. I'll go with PALACE MALICE (8-1) as he should get a nice Stalking trip, and love the stretchout and OFF track, just as his Daddy (Curlin) did.
