Turf power at Monmouth

23 May 2009 : Calvin Borel and BRASS HAT (orange) just up in time passes the favorite Spice Route to win the G3 Louisville Handicap at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky.

Has anyone else noticed that the Monmouth Turf course is a paved highway... Presious Passion is a nice horse, but really, going out by 20 and then setting a new course record?
Better Talk Now is scratched...injured a splint bone in his hind leg.
I hope Better Talk Now wins today, not because he's my pick, but because he's an old warrior who continues to plug along, do his thing and entertain his fans. Racing needs more Better Talk Nows!
