Turfway Park brings back Kentucky Cup

The Kentucky Cup Day of Champions will return to the Turfway Park fall schedule this year under the first-time sponsorship of WinStar Farm, Turfway and WinStar officials jointly announced Thursday.

The WinStar Kentucky Cup Day of Champions will include five races — the $200,000 Grade II Classic (9 furlongs), the $100,000 Grade III Distaff (8.5 f.), the $100,000 Grade III Sprint (6 f.), the $100,000 Juvenile (8.5 f.) and the $100,000 Juvenile Fillies (mile) — to be run Sept. 24. Post time will be 1:10 p.m.
