Churchill Downs' final week concludes with the traditional Thanksgiving
weekend stakes but begins with a new twist: racing on Tuesday. In recent years, Churchill has raced one Tuesday during the fall meet,
either Election Day or Veteran's Day. With Veteran's Day on a Wednesday
and no major election, the track opted to try Thanksgiving week for the
additional day.
