Today's Derby contender works included a five furlong bullet from Machen. The Neil Howard charge has now worked three times since a disappointing 4th place finish in the Risen Star. He goes next in the March 26 Louisiana Derby. Archarcharch drilled a four furlong bullet in advance of the March 19 Rebel Stakes.    

 

#23 Archarcharch – 4f bullet in :47.60 (1/31) at Oaklawn Park.

#31 Mr. Commons – 5f bullet in :59.20 (1/27) at Hollywood Park.

#37 Machen – Bullet 5f move in :59.60 (1/23) at Fair Grounds.

#40 Astrology – 7f in 1:25.20 (2/2) at Santa Anita Park.

Notes:

 

Astrology will not make his first start of the season in the Rebel Stakes. He is running out of time to make the Derby. Sweet Ducky has been sold to Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov and will make his next start in Dubai’s UAE Derby on March 26. Tampa Bay Derby hero Watch Me Go has been nominated to the Kentucky Derby.

Just read on DRF that Garrett Gomez will ride To Honor And Serve in the Florida Derby.
The Florida Derby looks to be coming up strong, THAS will need to have those screws all ratcheted up!
Nice to see To Honor And Serve work fast. Look for Mott to have the screws tightened for the Florida Derby.
Judging by the future pools I say alot of people were betting against Astrology
Excited about Sway Away in the Rebel. The Factor will fold like a cheap lawn chair trying to go two turns.
Astrology is not going to make it ... I was looking forward to betting against him if he did.
