Today's Derby contender works featured a three furlong gate bullet from Holy Bull also-ran Ribo Bobo. Sharp recent maiden route winner Lumberyard Jack breezed in New Orleans.


#72 Ribo Bobo – Bullet 3f (1/15) in :36 from gate (17/27) at Calder.

#101 Zoebear – Breezed 5f in 1:03.20 (17/51) at Oaklawn Park.

#108 Gangsterontherun – Worked 5f in 1:00.15 (4/18) at Gulfstream Park.

#142 Lumberyard Jack – 5f in 1:00.80 (3/25) at Fair Grounds.

Entries:

Hammersmith (#106) and Pleasant Run (#133) are both entered in the 8th race at Gulfstream Park on Feb 11. The nine furlong maiden route drew an 11-horse field.

 

 

What the Nation is saying about Today's Kentucky Derby Contender Works (2-9-11)...

This horse Zoebear is pretty unknown, but ran a nice 2nd behind Tapizar in a maiden race at Churchill. Just worked at Oaklawn today - I guess if they can't race there, at least they can work out.
