Todd Pletcher on all things Saratoga (Video)

Pletcher 615 X 400 Toga

To say that Todd Pletcher was gracious with the time he spent with Horse Racing Nation would be an understatement. With just a few days until Saratoga's 150th racing season and a full string of Grade I caliber horses under his care, Pletcher certainly had enough on his mind. In fact on the morning that Tony Bada Bing caught up with him, Pletcher had just finished sending out 33 runners on Saratoga's main track including such notable runners as Belmont Stakes winner, Palace Malice and Kentucky Oaks winner, Princess of Sylmar.

In Part 1 of our interview, Pletcher talks about the special meaning of a win at Saratoga, his humble beginnings in 1996 when he won just three races at the Spa and the hope that comes with training and running two-year-olds. So sit with us for a few minutes amid the excitement that is Saratoga to hear from nine-time leading Saratoga trainer, Todd Pletcher.

Great stuff TBB!!!
Super video, Tony! Great insights on the Pletcher babies. Was that Brian Zipse in the background with the rake?
what else can you say,the man can train and he can manage a mega national stable.very personable and smart.knows his horses. his getting all these killers year in and year out is not by accident or a charity case.todd has earned everything he has achieved.the scary part, what he has achieved to date may not even be the chip of te iceberg.
Awesome stuff Tony. Pletcher's Saratoga barn is an amazing place to visit.
