Wednesday’s Del Mar Recap  – August 21 (Day 26)

Polytrack surface seemed to play fair and yielded one sprint wire job winner at 6f. The lone 5f turf sprint was captured in wire job fashion, and the two turf routes (8f, 8.5f) were won by stalk and pounce type Mr. Bossy Pants (placed first via DQ) and patient runner Qiaona (turf rail at 14 feet).

No riding or training doubles to kick off the 5-day race week.

On the spread ticket front I tabbed three Primary winners (Frequent Fame, Cloud Clearing, Qiaona) and one Secondary winner (Raised a Secret). Oh My Enberg got up late to beat my final race Primary Glad’s Gals and swatted away my conso in the process.
