Today's Derby contender works included a six furlong move from impressive Rebel Stakes winner The Factor. He is expected to be a solid favorite for Saturday’s Arkansas Derby at Oaklawn Park.      

 

#2 The Factor – 6f in 1:12.20 (4/39) at Santa Anita Park.

#18 Bind – 4f in :48.60 (35/58) at Keeneland.

#38 Cal Nation – Breezed 4f in :48.63 (12/61) at Belmont Park (training track).

Bandbox (#44) drilled a 5f bullet in :58.20 (1/17) at Laurel Park. Adulare (Keeneland), Awesome Patriot (Santa Anita), Cool Blue Red Hot (Palm Meadows), Glory Game (Woodbine), Lauburu (Churchill Downs), Road Ready (Santa Anita), Runflatout (Hollywood Park), Smash (Santa Anita), Sovereign Default (Aqueduct), Strike Oil (Keeneland), and Western Mood (Pleasanton) also worked on Tuesday.

 

April 11 Works:

 

Astrology (#45) went 5f in 1:00.80 (21/52) at Santa Anita Park. Wilkinson (#46) breezed 5f in 1:01.40 (9/17) at Churchill Downs. Rush Now and Tech Fall both worked at Delaware Park on Monday.

 

Notes:

 

Toby’s Corner will prepare for the Kentucky Derby at Fair Hill Training Center in Maryland. He received a 94 BSF for his Wood Memorial victory. Midnight Interlude earned a 95 BSF in the Santa Anita Derby. Jaycito returned to the track on Monday and is expected to make his next start in the April 23 Lexington Stakes at Keeneland.
