ROYAL ACADEMY: While he graced the racetrack on only seven
occasions, Royal Academy proved himself a smart and durable animal,
displaying blistering speed to win the July Cup at Newmarket in 1990. A son
of champion sire Sadler's Wells, who had also been trained by O'Brien, Royal
Academy enjoyed his most lucrative success when winning the Breeders' Cup
