TVG, America’s Horseracing Network, will reach out to racing fans with the 2012
debut of Racing Roundtable, an audience
participation series, airing Fridays at 8:00 p.m. ET, beginning this Friday.
The 30-minute show will explore key horseracing topics, like exchange wagering,
as well as TVG programming and other network activities. The program’s format
will feature TVG executives and on-air personalities responding to questions
submitted by racing fans.
“Racing
Roundtable will provide a dialogue between TVG and its viewers on a host of
topics, including the issue of exchange wagering, which is very much top of
mind,” said Don Scott, TVG’s vice president of marketing. “We are keenly aware
that maintaining a close relationship with our customers is an important
component to our continued success, and Racing
Roundtable offers an additional avenue in that regard.”
Racing fans can submit questions to Roundtable@tvg.com either in the form of written e-mails or
via video links.
The primary topic
for Friday’s show will be TVG programming, including the future of high
definition telecasts and how TVG determines which track partners and races to
air. Hosting will be Todd Schrupp,
who will be joined by TVG CEO Stephen
Burn, Executive Vice President Tony
Allevato, Vice President of Marketing Don
Scott and Director of Legal Affairs/Associate General Counsel Melanie Frank.
On Friday,
January 27, Racing Roundtable will
explore the subject of exchange wagering, including such topics as how will it
work, how it will benefit the racing industry and how can people best make use
of it. It is expected that TVG Betfair will launch exchange wagering in
California this spring. Discussing the topic will be Burn and Director of US
Exchange Tom Large.
The February 3
edition of Racing Roundtable will
deal with horseracing’s hot topics, with several TVG on-air personalities
responding to viewer questions. Plans for future shows in the series include
involvement from racing personalities and well-known horsemen.
