TVG,
America’s horseracing network, will once again become the focal point for Breeders’
Cup information when the network’s extensive pre-championship programming kicks
off Saturday with The Works and Breeders’ Cup Today. Rounding out the pre-championship
programming menu will be the Breeders’
Cup Players’ Preview, airing November 3 and 4.
The 2011 renewal of racing’s premier
multi-race event is slated for November 4 and 5 at Louisville’s Churchill Downs.
TVG will be on-site to present The Works live October 29, 30, November 2 and 3.
The first three shows will air from 11:00 a.m.-noon ET, with the finale
expanding to two hours, also starting at 11:00 a.m. ET.
The Works will offer morning workouts of
top Breeders’ Cup contenders, expert analysis, feature stories and interviews
with prominent racing figures. Hosting will be Todd Schrupp, who will be joined
by Simon Bray, Tom Amoss, Graham Cunningham and Donna Barton Brothers, all from
Churchill Downs, with Christina Olivares reporting from Los Angeles.
Breeders’ Cup Today will air October 29
through November 2 from 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET from TVG studios in Los Angeles. It will
present the latest Breeders’ Cup news and recap the day’s activities. Hosting
will be Greg Wolf, teaming with Olivares, Matt Carothers and Ron Ellis, with
input from the Churchill Downs based talent.
The Works and Breeders’ Cup Today will
also air on FSN Prime Ticket and MSG+ (check local listings for times).
The Breeders’ Cup Players’ Preview Shows
will air live on Thursday, November 3 (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) and Friday, November
4 (8:00-9:30 p.m. ET) from Churchill Downs. Both shows also will air on MSG+
and Altitude, with the Friday show airing on FSN Prime Ticket (check local
listings for times). On the show, TVG’s Breeders’ Cup team, featuring hosts and
analysts reporting from both Churchill Downs and Los Angeles, will preview and
handicap the next day’s races.
