If Chantal Sutherland hadn't decided to
become a thoroughbred jockey, she very well could have been in Germany
earlier this month participating in the Women's World Cup.
She might be a full-time model today, with regular magazine
cover shots rather than the occasional spreads in Vogue and Sports
Illustrated.
She could have chosen to become a commercial airline pilot,
which is what her father wanted her to do when she was in her late teens
and living in her native Canada.
But the 35-year-old Sutherland, named one of People magazine's
"100 Most Beautiful People" in 2006, chose to ride horses for a living
and doesn't regret her decision for a second.
