Surgery for Dunkirk

Dunkirk exited Saturday's runner-up finish in the Belmont S. (G1) with a non-displaced condylar fracture in his left hind cannon bone and will likely be sidelined the rest of the year.

Lots of potential indeed... Unbridled's Song... talented but fragile.
Terrible news. Was really looking forward to seeing him later this summer...he looked like a horse with a big upside.
This is just unbelievable and not good for racing.
Hate to see Dunkirk on the sidelines... a terrific horse with great potential. Looking back, he may be the most talented horse to run in this year's Belmont. Also, the toll of 3yo's on the sidelines is starting to grow... with Friesan Fire, Dunkirk and others.
