Spinaway Possible for My Miss Aurelia

My Miss Aurelia breaks maiden at Saratoga (7-22-11).
George Bolton and Stonestreet Stables’ My Miss Aurelia came out of her hard-fought victory in the Grade 2 Adirondack in good shape, trainer Steve Asmussen said Monday morning.

 

The homebred daughter of Smart Strike won the 2-year-old sprint race on the pace, getting the 6 ½ furlongs in 1:17.01.

 

Asmussen left the door open for a possible run in the Grade 1, $250,000 Spinaway at seven furlongs on September 4.

 

“She came back great,” Asmussen said. “We’ll see how she trains back. She ran hard yesterday.”
