So You Think Confirmed for Arc

03.09.2011 The Irish Champion Stakes from Leopardstown. The Aidan O'Brien trained So You Think ridden by Seamus (Seamie) (J A) Heffernan win the Group 1 Red Mills Irish Champion Stakes
AIDAN O'BRIEN has confirmed that former Australian superstar So You Think will have his next race in the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp on October 2.

Ladbrokes reacted to the news by cutting the eight-time Group 1 winner to 5-1 (from 7) for Europe's richest race. He can also be backed at 6-4 for the Qipco Champion Stakes on October 15, which was also mentioned as a possible target after he beat Snow Fairy in the Irish Champion Stakes this month.

what about sarafina? I think she is the horse to beat not so you think her prix foy was spectacular she is brillant at 1 1/2 so you think is better at a 1 1/4.
@BrianZipse, I agree with you 110%!! Personally, I believe So You Think is more than capable of winning this year's Arc. Although it looks like it's going to be a very deep field. But I just don't think there's that many middle distance turf horses in Europe that's better he is. JMO.
The best should run in the best, and So You Think is the best. The Arc is never easy, but he is the horse to beat.
I'm pretty sure when Coolmore went to Australia and purchased controlling interest in So You Think that they already had a pretty good notion that he would be a dominant force in European G1's at 10f. But I believe from the beginning that Coolmore bought So You Think with a run in the Arc in mind. So for that reason, win, lose, or draw? I'm glad they're sending him to Longchamp for his run at the Arc!! I can tell you this much, though. If he win's or run's a big race in the Arc? Lump on in the BC Classic!! Because there will be no stopping this horse if he comes to Churchill Downs in November? TJMO.
I think his breeding will stop him the arc is a nightmare in it's self....but the bcc. on dirt at cd is the real monster bein by high chaparral by sadler's well's is all turf to me. + ballydoyle don't have the best of luck in the classic. why not go for the arc turf win no horse has won 'em...
In my opinion, So You Think's looking to complete what Sakhee started but failed to accomplish in 2001. When he won the Arc by 6 length's, but was beaten by a very short nose by Tiznow in the 01' Classic!! Personally, I believe if So You Think is able to win the Arc, there'll be no stopping him in the Classic!!
