Sidney's Candy Works on Churchill Turf

The last time Sidney’s Candy appeared at Churchill Downs he was on his way to a 17th-place finish over a sloppy dirt track in last May’s Kentucky Derby.

Sidney’s Candy is back at Churchill in preparation for Saturday’s TVG Breeders’ Cup Mile, and trainer John Sadler was much more pleased with his performance Monday in a workout.

Sidney’s Candy covered five furlongs on turf in 1:01 and galloped out at 1:15 3/5 for six furlongs.
