The Bob Baffert-trained Ellafitz will attempt to win her third
consecutive stakes in the $200,000 Santa Maria Stakes over 1 1/16 miles
on Feb. 18 at Santa Anita.
Last Sunday, Ellafitz won the minor Paseana Handicap over a mile by 4
1/4 lengths. She won the Grade 2 Bayakoa Handicap at Hollywood Park in
December.
“She’s changed so much,” Baffert said. “She’s matured and filled out.”
