NYRA
television analyst Andy Serling will conduct a live web chat on Friday,
November 25 at 8 p.m. to preview the Cigar Mile Handicap, which will be one of
four graded stakes and 10 total races this Saturday at Aqueduct Racetrack.
NYRA will also
host a vintage Belmont Stakes glass promotion on Saturday, allowing customers
to purchase commemorative glasses from previous runnings of the Belmont
Stakes.
The Cigar Mile, a
Grade 1 race worth $250,000, is expected to attract last year’s winner Jersey Town,
McMahon Adena Empire Classic hero Haynesfield, and Pennsylvania Derby victor To
Honor and Serve. The card also includes the Grade 1, $250,000 Gazelle for
3-year-old fillies, the Grade 2, $200,000 Remsen for 2-year-olds, and the Grade
2, $200,000 Demoiselle for 2-year-old fillies.
On Saturday, patrons
can purchase a $3 dollar coupon to select among a variety of vintage Belmont
Stakes commemorative glasses. Coupons may be purchased and redeemed at the
South end of the first floor clubhouse, while supplies last, until post time
for the Cigar Mile.
During Friday's
live web chat, fans can ask Serling questions by logging on at nyra.com/livechat
beginning that evening at 8 p.m.
No
pre-registration is necessary for the chat and users may simply type questions
and comments in the chat field at the bottom of the page for Serling to
address. At the conclusion of the chat, an “instant replay” is
created for future reference.
