Secretariat Leads All-Time Rankings

Top 250 graphic - smaller
Secretariat, proclaimed by many as the best horse of all-time, leads Horse Racing Nation's Top 250 of All-Time fan voting through February 1.  Meanwhile, Uncle Mo leads the 2011 Derby contender Power Rankings, the French wonder filly Goldikova leads all active horses and Awesome Feather leads 3-year-old fillies.

To create the Top 250 rankings, Horse Racing Nation has asked racing fans to vote 1 through 10 stars on their favorite thoroughbreds of all time.  Through one week of voting, Secretariat leads Man o' War in second, followed by Seattle Slew, Affirmed and Spectacular Bid.  The Top 250 horses will be ranked through March 1, when Horse Racing Nation will announce the Top 250 Horses of All-Time.

In the Kentucky Derby 2011 contender power rankings, Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner Uncle Mo leads Remsen Stakes winner To Honor And Serve, followed by Boys At Toscanova, Santiva and Premier Pegasus.  This past week, Uncle Mo had his first workout in preparation for the March 12 Tampa Bay Derby, his first planned race of 2011 on the road to the Kentucky Derby.

Goldikova leads the active power rankings as the French filly aims for a four-peat this year in the Breeders' Cup Mile.  She is followed by Gio Ponti, Uncle Mo, Unrivaled Belle and Blind Luck.

The three-year-old fillies are led by Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies winner Awesome Feather, who has been sidelined with injury in 2011.  She is followed by Dancinginherdreams, Kathmanblu, Turbulent Descent and Winter Memories.

This list will always be messed up, simply because most of the fans are young and unknowing of horses of different countries and time periods.
yeah 11 spots ahead of Native Dancer and 13 ahead of Dr.Fager lol
Ruffian is currently #13.
where is RUFFIAN!!!???????
the only way to properly decipher between the these greats is to either bring the voting to 1 to 100 or using two decimal places, like 8.76
I think either Big Red definately deserves top spot (;
Aside the ordering of the 2 Big reds, I am not a bit diappointed in the top 5. But Zenyatta ahead of John Henry?! Surely you jest.
Frame of reference: If we had many European members names like Ribot, Sea Bird, Nashwan, See the Stars, and Rock of Gibraltar would adore the top of the list.
Zenyatta definately deserves to be in the top 100, but not the 10 ten! Shes ahead of John Hnery for christs sake! And Ruffian, who we all know at a talent standpoint was the better filly.
