Paddy O’ Prado to the Classic? Big mistake I say.

Jerry Crawford is the manager of the Donegal Racing Partnership, the group that owns Paddy O’Prado. Yesterday Crawford announced the syndicate had decided at a recent meeting to run their colt in the Breeders’ Cup Classic rather than the Breeders‘ Cup Turf. Apparently this was a decision made after Crawford mulled over the options with trainer Dale Romans.

What the Nation is saying about Say It Ain’t So Paddy O...

Seems like we see this sort of thing every year in the BC. Connections enter in wrong spot or cannot decide which race to enter. I always try to avoid those horses on Cup day
Hot pace and deep, sticky mud would be his only chance to hit the board
i completely agree. it seemed as if that last start may have been leading to something big. yes he got beat but it wasnt by much and the conditions were much different. in the classic, paddy wont be able to do much. he finished 3rd in a weak derby field on dirt. in the classic, the field is much much stronger, he for the most part has almost no chance.
