Friday’s Del Mar Recap  – August 23 (Day 28)

Polytrack seemed to play fair and yielded two wire sprint jobs (6f, 5.5f).  A wire job (8f) and a last-to-first runner (11f) made up the two turf route winners on the abbreviated 7-race program.

Hat trick for Garrett Gomez and Edwin Maldonado booted home a pair. Peter Miller saddled two winners and Gomez rode both. Recently hot trainer Neil Drysdale saddled the 1-2 finishers in the 16th running of the CTT & TOC ‘Cap.

On the spread ticket front I tabbed two Primary winners (Heyyoucan, Topic) and two Secondary winners (Sugar Spice, Southern Sunrise).
