Santa Anita: Steiner close in return

Jockey Joe Steiner finished a close second in Friday's sixth race on Woodland Flood, a 34-1 shot who led in the stretch of a $10,500 to $12,500 claimer over a mile but was beaten a head by Saravas Wild Again ($19.20).


Prior to Friday, Steiner last rode at Santa Anita in April 2005, a layoff initally caused by a shoulder injury.  In recent years, Steiner, 46, had worked as an exercise rider, primarily for trainer Bob Baffert...
