Son de America gave the 8-year-old stallion Discreet Cat his first winner with his first starter in Thursday's first race at Santa Anita.


Son de America ($10.40) won a two-furlong maiden race for $100,000 claimers by a head over Linda T Rules, a 24-1 shot.
