10 lifetime starts and paid mutuels of $11.80,

John Stavropoulos’
Trelawny pressed the pace,
gained the advantage briefly, could not withstand the winner when
challenged but gamely held the place by a half-length from Louie Roussel
III’s
Santa, who cut out fractions of 22.34 and 46.40 before weakening late.
Trelawny paid $4.60 and $4 and Santa returned
$5.60 to show.
