Kathy Ritvo, who saddled the popular Horse of the Year finalist Mucho Macho Man to victory in the Breeders' Cup Classic (G1), will sign posters of the 6-year-old Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon at Gulfstream Park as part of the coast-to-coast Vox Populi ceremony.

The Vox Populi, or “Voice of the People,” award, recognizes the horse whose popularity and racing excellence best resounded with the American public and gained recognition for Thoroughbred racing. The award was established in 2010 by Mrs. Penny Chenery, owner of Secretariat.

Along with Ritvo, Gulfstream will also play host Saturday to Charlie Davis, the exercise rider of Secretariat, award-winning writer Bill Nack, author of Secretariat, and Mrs. Chenery's son, Chris Tweedy.

A poster of Mucho Macho Man, painted by Jaime Corum, will be free while supplies last. The posters will be given away in the breezeway where Ritvo will be available to autograph them. Davis, Tweedy and Nack will be available for autographs in a tent on the western rim of the walking ring. There will also be Secretariat merchandise available to purchase.

The Vox Populi trophy will be presented to Mucho Macho Man's owners, Dean and Patti Reeves, and Ritvo during simultaneous presentations at Gulfstream and Santa Anita Park. Both celebrations will be broadcast live on HRTV.

First race post for Gulfstream's Saturday program is 12:40 p.m. The card will include the $200,000 Fort Lauderdale (G2) and $100,000 Hal's Hope (G3).
