Rene Douglas, family 'not losing hope'

Jockey Rene Douglas, whose legs were paralyzed in a May23 spill at Arlington Park, is in rehabilitation in Florida at Jackson Memorial Hospital. “Rene … is working really hard in therapy, trying to get healthy and stronger every day,” said his wife, Natalia. “There's still a lot for us to do in regards to his therapy. But his spirits are high, and he has the support of friends and family.”
