Remember This Race?

Race Clue #1 - Every horse in the field was a grade/group 1 winner, save two, and they were both grade 2 winners.

Race Clue #2- The winner of this race began his career outside of the United States.

Race Clue #3 -Seven horses in the field were let go of odds of 20-1 or higher.

Race Clue #4 - The race favorite had his six-race win streak (the last five in graded stakes) snapped in this one.

Race Clue #5 - The only two geldings in the field were both millionaires, and finished a head apart.

Race Clue #6 - Five of the runners were coming in off victories, and four of the five were grade/group 1 races.

Race Clue #7 - The lone Kentucky Derby winner in the field finished out of the money.

Race Clue #8 -The winner mounted his rally after being in eighth place at both the first quarter and half mile calls.

Race Clue #9- The third-place finisher raced under a different name later in his career.

Race Clue #10 - The winning trainer also won the Belmont Stakes earlier in the same year.

You should know it by now … Tell me the race and the year!

I got as far as guessing one of the millionaire geldings was Lava Man! lol. Dang, that was fast.
Well played, my friend from across the pond! As a first time champ, I hope you will be back next week to defend your title.
Apologies when I refresh page it re posts! Speed due to probably my lack of knowledge of US racing so born outside US first horse came to mind was Invasor. I checked McLaughlin big wins which brought Jazil and then checked Lava man Perfect drift were geldings. Then posted before checking Bernardini had won 6 straight.

A three-way photo, but the victory goes to jdas1 ... How did you get it so fast, new champion?
jdas1 ... You are correct, it is the BC Classic of 2006, won by Invasor!
