Record Derby Week Traffic on Horse Racing Nation

Record Derby Week Traffic on Horse Racing Nation
Horse Racing Nation would like to thank our fans for the overwhelming show of support visiting the site during Kentucky Derby 2013.

For Derby week, Horse Racing Nation set a new site record by hosting over 650,000 visits, including over 250,000 visits on Kentucky Derby Day and over 120,000 visits on Kentucky Oaks day.

"The response to the Horse Racing Nation site re-design has been overwhelmingly positive," said Mark Midland, co-founder of Horse Racing Nation.  "In addition, relocating our headquarters to Louisville has given us the ability to provide even greater coverage, access and interviews for our fans."

"Our fans have made Horse Racing Nation the fastest-growing site in horse racing, and our goal is to provide even more coverage, features and content to sustain that trend," Midland said.

Horse Racing Nation was launched in April 2009 and recently was redesigned for its fourth anniversary.  Horse Racing Nation annually hosts over 5-million visitors each year.

Horse Racing Labs, the parent company of Horse Racing Nation, also hosted over 20,000 visits on SuperScreener.com, a site offering racing expertise on the Derby and other major events, and Derbywars.com, a horse racing contest site.  In total, fans visited Horse Racing Labs sites over 700,000 times during the week.

THANK YOU!

What the Nation is saying about Record Derby Week Traffic on Nation...

Congrats, HRN!!!!! I think that one of the possible record turnouts, was due to the new revamped home web page. For those experiencing this web site for the first time, they had to have heart palpitations viewing the home page!!!!
Thats because you have a great crew and good management of the site people know what they are writing about or I would not be here..good job!! especially Jarrod
Thanks, Mary, that helped for the searches! I did know the comment appeared under the respective thread, just didn't know what was happening with the updates. Thanks, again.
Hit "enter" for searches, now in a dark box. If you go to the thread under which you commented, as opposed to checking the main page, your comment will appear. Yes, it does take longer for updates this week.
Our browser is Google Chrome....
My browser is Firefox if that makes a difference in why there is such a long lag-time.
Yes, yukichan, I noticed this as well, and I sent an e-mail to HRN last week. I advised them that comments seemed not to be added/updated in a "timely" manner recently. I've not received a response. One other thing that has occurred for me since the format change is that the Search function does not work.
Site looks great and glad it is getting the much desered traffic. I DO HAVE TO ASK if anyone else notices the lag time from when one posts a comment to having it appear on the sidebar. Anywhere from a few mintues to nearly 30m in my case. No big deal except that I've written to powers that be thinking my comments are not posting. Does anyone else experience this?
AWESOME job HRN and fans!!! As Pete Gabriel sang, "BIG TIME, I'm on my way to making it..." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBAl9cchQac
