Robert Cole Jr.’s Rapid Redux, who has won his last 17 starts, is entered Sept. 30 in another starter allowance event at Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack & Resort in West Virginia.

Rapid Redux, a 5-year-old gelding by Pleasantly Perfect, is two victories away from tying the North American record for consecutive wins held by Zenyatta and Peppers Pride, both mares. A field of eight was entered in the $14,900, one-mile starter allowance for horses that have started for a claiming price of $5,000 or less in 2010-11. Cole claimed Rapid Redux last year for $6,250 but he has run for $5,000 during the time period.
