Rachel and Zenyatta Work

The leading ladies of Thoroughbred racing both worked five furlongs July 5.


Zenyatta worked at Hollywood Park in 1:01.20, posting the 10th quickest work out of 45 horses working at that distance at the Southern California track. The striking daughter of Street Cry holds the modern day record of 17 consecutive wins in races no restricted to state-breds. She broke the record in the June 13 Vanity Handicap (gr. I). Her next start has not been announced.
