Record-setting Quality Road, a four-time Grade 1 winner and a
leading contender in the older male division, will enter stud in 2011
at William S. and Sarah Farish’s Lane’s End in Versailles, Kentucky.
Quality Road will remain property of owner-breeder Edward P. Evans and a stud fee will be announced at a later date.
Virginia-bred Quality Road is by 2004 leading general sire Elusive Quality.
The four-year-old colt is out of the Strawberry Road (Aus) mare Kobla,
a full sister to 1997 champion three-year-old filly Ajina.
Quality Road has won eight of 12 starts and earned $2,232,830 in
three seasons. His final start will come in the Breeders’ Cup Classic
(G1) at Churchill Downs on November 6.
