Hall
of Fame trainer Bill Mott sent out Proviso for a half-mile breeze in
47.12 this morning, her first work since winning the Grade 1 Just a Game on
Belmont Stakes Day, Saturday, June 5.
“She
looks good and has been doing fine,” reported Mott. “So far, so good. If all
goes well, she’ll make her next start in the [Grade 1] Diana [July 31 at Saratoga].”
Also
on Mott’s work tab were Hold Me Back, who went five furlongs in 1:00.64,
and Unrivaled Belle, who breezed a half-mile in 48.62.
“It
was her first work since [her second-place finish in] the Ogden Phipps, and she
went well enough,” said Mott.
