Prince Will I Am Wins Sloppy McKnight

Prince Will I Am won the $150,000 W.L. McKnight Handicap at Calder Race Course on Saturday after the race was switched to the main track because of heavy rain.


Ridden by Javier Castellano, Prince Will I Am held off Free Fighter by 2 1/2 length to win the 1 1/2-mile race in 2:38.40. Prince Will I Am paid $4.00, $2.60 and $2.10 as the favorite on the main track. Free Fighter returned $4.40 and $3.00, and Memorial Maniac paid $3.40 to show.
