November 6, 2010: Pluck, ridden by Garrett Gomez and trained by Todd A. Pletcher win the Breeders Cup Juvenile Turf at Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY..
A stumbling start from the outside post did not bother Team Valor's Pluck as he thundered down the lane to easily take Saturday's Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf under Garrett Gomez.

Trainer Todd Pletcher and Gomez also teamed up to win yesterday's Juvenile Fillies Turf with More Than Real. Both youngsters were sired by More Than Ready.

Soldat finished 2nd and Willcox Inn completed the trifecta.

There was a scary moment around the first turn when Rough Sailing slipped and fell, unseating jockey Rosie Napravnik. Rough Sailing got up and ran off. He was taken away in an ambulance. In a sad update, he had to be put down beacuse of a fractured shoulder. Napravnik appears to be alright. Willcox Inn and Rough Sailing are both conditioned by Michael Stidham.
